Cogeco Speed Test
This test measures the download and upload speed
of your internet connection between
the computer you are using and the Cogeco server.
- Plug the computer directly into the cable modem since transfer rates may vary when using routers, virtual private network (VPN) or other wireless equipment.
- Close any running applications on your computer except for your browser.
- Check that only the speed test uses the Internet connection.
Please note that the Cogeco Speed test is reserved for Cogeco Internet customers only. Download and upload speeds can vary with Internet traffic, remote peers, your network configuration, the use of wireless equipment and other factors.
For the Ultra High Speed 1 Gig package, up to 1 Gbps aggregated speed can be obtained with 2 Ethernet/wired connections to Cogeco’s 1 Gig modem.
When connecting to only one personal Internet device, using a Ethernet/wired connection, you will get up to 940 Mbps.
